The Las Vegas Numismatic Society provides
scholarships to young Nevadan collegiate
and numismatic education to the
community. This 50th annual event is
a tremendous opportunity for
everyone to learn about coin and
currency collecting and the history
of money.
Public admission is $3 (for all three
days) and a coupon is downloadable
online. There is free admission for
members of any coin or stamp club, seniors
65 or over, military in uniform and children
8 years old or younger. Early bird or

Silver Dollar and Panda Coin Seminars
Offered at Las Vegas Numismatic Society
Coin Show
The Las Vegas Numismatic Society 50th Anniversary Coin Show will be
held March 1-3, 2013 at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino, 2411 W.
Sahara, Las Vegas, NV 89102.
The seminar line-up on Saturday offers a great opportunity to learn
from the industry's leading experts. The Silver Dollar seminar will
be conducted by John Highfill and C Logan McKechnie. Highfill
authored The Comprehensive Silver Dollar Encyclopedia and
founded the National Silver Dollar Roundtable, now the second
largest dealer organization in the world. McKechnie added
over 200 silver dollar varieties and revisions to the VAM list
and publishes the annual VAM Retail Price Guide. Seminar
starts at 12 noon. Seating is limited.
On Friday, Panda collectors can enrich their knowledge at the Panda
seminar featuring Peter Anthony, author of Gold and Silver Panda Coin
Buyers Guide. Anthony writes a monthly column for World Coin News,
publishes the China Pricepedia and is a consultant for NGC. Recently he
was mentioned as resource in article by Matthew-Asia, a private
investment company with 19.7 billion invested in Asia. Seminar begins
Friday at 2:45pm. Jeff Shevlin, American Numismatic executive director,
will be speaking at 1:00pm on Adding Value to the ANA Membership.
